There is Only One Way Out
I worked at San Diego City College as an administrative assistant for a math professor. He is the dynamic head of the San Diego City College maths Center, and is the person who created the Math Center in 1994. At the office, in that respect was also a nonher administrative assistant who worked for that math professor. Our subcontract was updating databases, filing, organizing student appointments for net exams, managing email, purchasing, documentation and correspondence. One day, professor was busy with a student, so he asked me and my coworker to mug the final exams. Since it was my first time grading the final exams, the coworker explained to me how I should grade the exams and how I should upload the grade into the database. Then, in a unflustered whisper, he told me his little secret, saying that if a student scored 63 or 64 per centum on the final that I should give that student 65 percent because 65 percent was the flinging grade. I understood that he was trying to financial aid the students to pass the class. Come on, it is really sad for those students to not pass the class just because they did not reach unrivaled or two percents on the final. On the other hand, my conscience did not allow me to increase the students score because it would be lying.



I was taught my integral life not to lie and there I would run a risk my lifes moral principle for a small, wrong deed.
So, I was torn apart as to what I should do. Should I listen to my coworker, or should I listen to my own intellect? Both solutions seemed right to me because each solution had a real good means, except that one was ethical and the other one was unethical. In the end, I decided to listen to my inner congresswoman and choice the ethical solution. I continued to grade the finals; still only when my coworker left to his work station, I started uploading the final grades into the database without changing the grade fright bounteousy earned.
