Dear Mrs. Sisi,
The book I read was The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. This is the paper of a young boy named Percy Jackson who discovers that he is a Half-Blood (half Grecian god, and half mortal). After only a few days at Camp Half-Blood, the camp that Half-Bloods baulk at to stay safe from monsters, he finds out that he is the son of Poseidon (the Greek god of the sea), and feels he mustiness prove himself as a Demigod (the scientific word for a Half-Blood). As the story continued, Percy finds out that Zeuss master lightning photocopy was stolen and his grow was being blamed, so when he is offered a quest, he jumps at the chance to fix everything. Percy and his friends, Grover and Annabeth, set off on their quest, and must face and conquer many bloodthirsty monsters along the way. Meanwhile, what Percy doesnt know is that Ares, the god of war, is in the works of framing Percy for steeling the lightning bolt (which he didnt do). In the end, Percy, Annabeth, and Grover finally find and harvesting Zeuss lightning bolt, and learn the value of hard work, friendship, and overtaking after what you believe in.

One thing that sincerely stood out to me was the fact that Annabeth is so confident and in charge, notwithstanding still goes with the flow. I feel that these are very substantial qualities, and are part of what makes Annabeth who she is. One quote from the story that truly showed this, was when on pages 168-169, the book states Well maybe if you hadnt stubborn to jump in the fight- What did you want me to do? Let you sustain killed? You didnt need to protect me, Percy. I wouldve been fine. I feel this quote really shows Annabeths I dissolve do it myself attitude, in which she holds on to throughout the book. Annabeths grammatical case really stood out to me and made reading The Lightning Thief that a great deal more exciting.
