War Memorials
A contend memorialisation is a commemorative object. It is something intended to remind us of the
citizenry who have served and died in and because of war. A War memorial bunghole be a building,
monument, or a statue (What is a war memorial). But its significance rises beyond a peck of
metal or stone. War memorials dictate stories about generations of hoi polloi fighting and dying for
freedom and peace of the future generations. They tell stories about men and women who gave
their lives in war for justice, liberty, and right. They carry a clear message to the previous brave
generations: No , we give not forget you. We will always remember you as heroes of this
nation..
After my visit to the Manitoba Legislative Building, I was fascinated by a painting for
Frank Brangwyn. Frank Brangwyn was an artist , panther , and a water colorist. Born in Bruges,
Belgium, in 1867, the word of honor of Anglo-Welsh parents. His father, William Curtis Brangwyn, was a
well-known church architect (Davis).
Frank was a complicated man, a man of contradictions and extremes (Horner). We will
see that in the painting where he inserted many contradicting symbols.
The painting shows

Canadian soldiers during the branch World War behind the lines in France. If we look almost to the
middle of painting, we can see a man in tattered rags with his left chest and arm exposed, being
helped by a comrade. Some resources say that the man with the tattered rags symbolizes the
fondness of the Christ and the death of Jesus for our sins (Armstrong). The presence of Jesus in
such painting expresses the ideology of Brangwyn about going to war and his feeling of
guiltiness for all the people who went to war. He seems to remember that it is a sin for people to go
to war , and that deity didnt give people these bodies to waste them in wars and killing....If you expect to get a full essay, order it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com
