Jonathan Swift is arguably one of the some noted and renowned satirical writers of all time. He wrote legion(predicate) satirical pieces, most pertaining to the politics of Ireland, but is most know for his work Gullivers Travels. Due to his travels between Ireland and England, Swift became familiar with most of the English politics of this time period. The country Swift was originally from, Ireland, had been under the control of England for nearly five degree Celsius years. In this England, the Stuarts, started to govern the countrys poor Catholic population. Ireland, because of this, found its own parliament limited. Swift came to be cognize as a great Irish patriot, although, he byword himself as more British than Irish.
