Trust, a simple five letter word, just what does it baseborn? The dictionary defines it as firm reliance on the integrity, ability, or character of a person or thing. In 2000 George W. bush was choose to office, and as the nation we were expected to give him our trust. quadruplet years have past, and he is still asking for the nations trust, but can the United States give it to him? President furnish has profane and lied to the Congress, the country, and the rest of the land about important issues, and is not deserving of the nations confidence.
First and foremost, when discussing scrubs betrayal of the nation one must sum up up the war in Iraq. supply went in prior of Congress to deliver an assortment of lies, these being that Saddam ibn Talal Hussein was an imminent threat to the US, Iraq was humankindufacturing weapons of mass destruction to be interchange to terrorist organizations working against the US, and that Saddam Hussein had ties to the terrorist network Al-Qaeda, which was responsible for the 9/11 attacks. So far, none of those accusations have been proved. This leads to the next question, wherefore did President Bush lie to congress and the rest of the world? The answer is simple, Bush lied to gain oil, to attain a diversion from homeland issues, and revenge. Im a simple oil man from Texas.(President Bush) As a simple oil man, Bush knew with Iraqs oil supply he could create a monopoly oer the worldwide oil industry, and therefore he would be gaining property to cover up his ever growing national deficit. Bush risked American lives to cover up his failures. His next lie had everything to do with re-election in 2004. It was obvious from the start of Bushs presidency that there was a...
In a persuasive essay, it is important that you provide support for your claims. Your assertions do not constitute evidence. Much more than a persuasive essay, this comes across as an emotional attack that will undoubtedly hail to those who dis resembling the President. Where is your proof that Bush lied to gain oil, to create a diversion from homeland issues, and revenge? Besides wrong(p) parallelism, your writing contains various fallacies such as ad hominem and federal agency hoc ergo propter hoc. Im a nonpartisan, but your invective seems more like a partisan campaign speech than enlightened rhetoric.
In a supposedly persuasive essay, you would be well sensible to adopt a more objective tone if your finale is to win people over to your point of view.
Bush is a liar, not only that hes a criminal. His administration is full of corruption and lies. glorious essay!
Very good essay but I call in youve got Bushs ulterior motives wrong. I find it doubtful that Bush could rely that oil revenues could pay for the war costs and reconstruction, let simply use it to pay off the national deficit. And even if we overlyk complete control of Iraqi oil there is no path we would ever have a monopoly. (Ever heard of OPEC?) Bush may not be the brightest person around, but dont deceive yourself into thinking that he ordered the invasion of Iraq just for the oil and private reasons.
Also I would like to mention that just because Bush was so blatantly wrong about WMDs, terrorist connections, etc. doesnt fee-tail he lied about it. You jumped to conclusions a little too soon. You went from showing how he was simply wrong to accusing him of lying. And I am not formulation that he didnt lie, Im just saying that you failed to show evidence of why he lied.
BTW, Bush wasnt elected; he was selected- he lost the popular vote in Florida. But I am sure already knew that.
