One reason that we should continue military exercises is that N. Korea recently attacked Yeonpyeong Island in South Korea. This attack resulted in the deaths of quadruplet Koreans and the wounding of eighteen others. I think that we should prepare, so that when they charge again, well be ready.
Another reason would be that North Korea anounced that they shake up a crude uranium enrichment facility last month. The new facility gives them an increased ability to create weapons of mass destruction. They overly had to break treaties that they had signed in order to build the facility. I deliberate that we should take this as a sign of to a greater extent attacks and tension to come.
One last reson for continuing our prescence in South Korea would be that the North Koreans ATTACKED their southern neighbors. The attack was unprovoked and resulted in 4 DEATHS! What is to stop them from going to war?
They attacked us because they warned us to stop military exercises on SOUTH KOREAN borders; and hence we tested COMMUNICATIONS equipment. If they attack again I believe that we should go to war or at least not take it lying down.
Some people think that we should postdate with the Norths demands. If we halt drills, they might attack no matter of what we do; but then we wouldnt be prepared. They would learn our backing down as a sign of weakness.
